Community Art

Today, several children took part in a community art project where they made the porcelain tiles that will be used in a mosaic.

Online Safety

This afternoon, we completed our posters considering the reasons why some apps are unsuitable for children.

Art: final piece

Today we painted our Clarice Cliff inspired designs onto our coil pots. First we sanded our pots to create a smooth surface and then painted a white base coat so that our colours would stand out.

London City Scape

Today we started an art project influenced by 3D pop artist Charles Fazzino and his New York landscapes. We have linked our Geography topic on London and have used famous London landmarks. Today’s lesson has focused on our observational skills and how we can add mark making to add detail.

To bring our learning together, we are creating posters focusing on why people use social media, age recommendations for apps and the benefits and risks.

Art: Artist Research and Critique

Over the last 2 weeks we have been researching the famous ceramic artist Clarice Cliff. We have looked at her life and work and critiqued a jug from her famous ‘Bizarre’ collection.

Excellent Reasoning

As part of our revision, we independently looked at ensuring that our written reasoning was as accurate as it could be.
